Mortality Radio Show - Do you listen? Why or Why not?

Do you download the show after the broadcast?

When I remember a show with some interesting guest.

And also for those that don't listen, why is that? Wrong time?

I only tried twice, but both times could not get the show to play live. It is not worth the frustration.

The main host has such a familiar voice- I wish I could place it.

I was thinking about comboing themes and segements. For example, having a show dedicated to high level gaming and having a segment on the setting Oathbound.

Absolute PLUS on this idea! If it were up to me (which it isn't), I would ask you to do something like two segments to the show, each about 40 minutes long, and maybe have about 10 or 15 minutes at the end for callers, keeping everybody to about 2 or 3 minutes each.

never caught a show.

Friday night is bad for me.

never downloaded a show.

Work has a firewall. Home: takes to long to download on my 486/66 with dialup modem.

but i tell all my friends about it.:D

I mentioned this on the Mortality version of this thread, but one of the things that would really help matters would to have an established set of interview questions for the guest prepared ahead of time. Too often I hear a caller being given "carte blanche" to talk about whatever when in fact it would be better if the host guided the caller. For example, why not ask specific questions about an author's or publisher's latest release? Go into details as to some of the issues involved in the development of that product. For instance, what were some ideas that didn't make it in the book? It's important for any host to maintain control over the program and not let the guest rule the roost. The last few shows this has happened on at least one occasion when someone has called in. I do agree that something needs to be changed regarding the sound quality of the callers. Many times they are nearly impossible to understand. ;)

I download the shows and listen to them at work. I hate my job.

I enjoy the show, and I think Adlon does a good job. He's enthusiastic and seems genuinely interested in the community. Big plus.

Unfortunately, he needs to pay more attention to the guests and less to the chatroom. Very distracting and annoying.

That's it. Keep up the good work.

I thank you all so far guys...

I like the opinions guys. Thanks.

I have just gotten cable modem and will try and call on my higher quality home phone (not cell) and lets see what the quality sounds like.
