Depends on the campaign a lot too. In the campaign where I played Cedric (A priest/artificer of Boccob) Knowledge: Arcana checks flowed like water.

In our High Level campaign, Scry is one of the most used skills, I think. (Locate AND destroy )

Wilderness Lore, Spot and Search are also commonly used...
