Not a rumor per se, but...

Some years ago, Steve Jackson Games was working on a set of miniatures rules called "Hot Lead". While the rules never were published, that didn't prevent Amazon.com from posting a catalog entry for "Hot Lead", indicating that it was out of print. And, numerous gamers posted "reviews" for "Hot Lead", including all sorts of goofy comments on a game that didn't even exist:

How about the rumor that Hasbro was buying Wizards. Does the rumor not count if it came true?

Oh, well then I would say Star Wars D20 2006 release schedule.
