Most ludicrous gaming rumors?

Actually, this was on a web-site. I lost the link though. Inquest mentioned it once...

The only place I remember seeing it was in the artwork for one of the "Murphy's Rules" strips. Other books in the stack included GURPS: Rifts, and Rifts: GURPS.

Former TSR Boss-Lady Lorraine Williams apparently still has some legal power over the D&D brand, and is invoking a little-known contractual clause that forces WotC to produce Buck Rogers d20 in time for GenCon 2006.

MOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And just what IS the CR of a polearm-wielding cow??? :p

That's not the real cow level, that's just a joke in remembrance of the real cow level. ;)

Which, of course, was pretty cool by Blizzard to pick this rumor up.

The real cow level had succubi riding cows and shooting blood stars. :p

Warlords RPG

I have assurances from the devloper that this is still on its way, but that it will likely only be the core books with no further support to follow. As for other rumors...

Cyberpunk 3.0 has been 'almost finished' for more than a decade now. Quite recently, there was some hype on RPGnet about it making a GenCon 2005 appearance, but this turned out to be little more than disingenuous ad-copy posted by a publisher that was counting their chickens before they hatched. Cyberpunk 3.0 remains a rumor for the time being.

[Edit: Thought of another one..]

In the months prior to Rifts Ultimate Edition being released, many a Palladium fan was circulating the rumor that the system would see a massive update in the new book, complete with a unified resolution mechanic and corrected MDC rules. Turns out that neither of these things happened, although RCCs were almost completely eliminated, being categorized as OCCs instead.
