Moto Grand Prix Board Game for Birthday Present?

My father is turning 52 this month and likes to tinker with motorcycles and motorcycle races. I just found this at Fantasy Flight Games and wondered whether anyone would consider this a good birthday present for him. He likes games and motorcycles, so I thought it would fit the bill nicely, but does it play well and is it any fun? Thanks in advance

Well, I went ahead and ordered it for him from an online store, but I'd still like to know people's impressions of it
