Mounted 2 weapon VS. Lance (Cavalier)

I am going to become a cavalier in nearest future, cannot decide what is better: fighting with 2 bladed sword + mount or lance +mount. Because of reach (10) of lance and (5) reach of warhorse i do not know if i can attack with both, two bladed sword will not give x5 on a deadly charge... Then comes the point that on high levels warhorse is no fighter, so it just better stay alive... I really need an advice =)

At high levels, you could try using the Leadership feat to get some form of cohort mount - dragons are one excellent option.

I forget if Cavaliers get some special ability allowing them to make a full attack on a charge, but if not, you're definitely better off using a lance, since you'll only get one attack and the lance attack will always do more damage when charging (and with Ride-By Attack, charing is what you should always be doing as a Cavalier).

The cavalier PrC doesn't allow you to make full attack on a charge but does allow you to make full attack on your mount's single move action.
