Mounted Combat: Alternative class feature for Knight?

Hey all,

I'm building a new Knight character. I'm really enjoying the flavor so far. However, I'm about to hit level 2 and I can't stand Mounted Combat. I need some ideas for a fair and balanced feat/feature to replace this that I can suggest to my DM.

Any ideas?

FWIW: I'm making the character a ground-pounding tank. A real "hold this position" type.

I had the same issue when I was working on a character, I just don't like mounted combat.

As long as it's not a feat that goes counter to the Knight flavor (like the Dirty Fighting feat), I think a Fighter bonus feat would be fair.

Just take one of the other bonus feats that Knight's get later on.
