Mounts with Pounce and Rake

Three questions:

If they Charged, could the rider attack and the cat use its Pounce?

In normal melee using a Full Attack, would the cat be able to use rake while the rider was on its back also getting his full attacks?

Could the cat use its full attack and rake on a different enemy that the one that the rider was attacking?

1) Yes, however, the rider's attack must be a charge action.

2) The cat can only rake if it charged or it has grappled the target. So if the cat has grappled and is raking, the rider could get full attack.

3) Yes, if the cat was grappling. If the rake is due to a charge, the ridder must attack the same target as the mount.

Myself, if a pouncing & raking typemout is doing just that, the victim gets cover Vs. the riders attack since those raking weapons happen to be on the opposite side of the mount that the rider is on.

I don't consider pounce/rake to be "rider friendly" manuvers, I would allow all of the above, but with some serious DCs on the ride checks. The cover concept seems resonable, but I wouldn't prefer to handle it that way.

I would increase the DC of the "fight with mount" ride check from 10 to at least 20, more if there is already a penalty for riding on an exotic mount.
