Movement in Combat: FAQ needed!

So....this one attack thingy after a move fer critters is clearly explained in the beginning of the MM?

MM p. 7, bottom left column, under the "Natural Weapons" heading: "If a creature... chooses the attack option (and thus makes only a single attack), it uses its primary attack bonus."

#1) Yup, unless yer opposing me, as I said. Then I want'cha ta hold real still.......

#2) Nope. Jus' like that other guy said.

#3)This is th' real meat o' the changes. If you move in a round (more than 5'), you only get one attack. Period. 'Cept, o' course, fer monsters. They get these 'natural attacks', see, an' so apparently they can do 'em all, even after movin'. As a PC, I can't. My attacks are "unnatural" see.........<controls rant, shuts trap>

grumble, grumble......

Could you choose another color? Crimson is hard to read on black - yellow is a good choice, if you must use color.

As I mentioned eariler, it does pretty clearly state that if a monster moves it only gets it's primary attack. What was debated was whether 2 claws were considered the primary attack and thus, allow the monster to make two claw attacks after moving. It was clarified by the Sage that it is only one claw attack.

...th' one time th' Sage has a ruling favorable to me, an' I didn't see it.......arrrrgggg........

(Changed th' color...but this shade o' red doesn't quite screem "blood 'n gore" like the crimson did......<sigh>)

That's not a very good color either. It's okay to use a shade of red a little, but overuse of color does no good at all. Please use a cleary legible color for most of your text - white or yellow are good choices as they show up very well on the black black/dark grey background.

Thanks. It will make it ever so much easier to read your posts - I'd hate to start ignoring anyone's posts simply because they chose to make them harder to read.

edit: Save your fancy stuff (red, etc.) for your signature where it will not take away from your posts.

Thanks. Much nicer. If you would like further suggestions:

Make your signature bold (it stands out better with the crimson color)

Go ahead and use yellow, orange or bold burlywood if you want to use color mostly to make your posts stand out a bit from others - they'll do that and be legible, too. But white is really best if you want people to take your posts seriously.

edited to add colors and the last sentence.

Your welcome, Nail. Any time.

Thanks for taking my input in the spirit in which it was given and not getting all defensive. Life is good.
