Moving an elemental companion

I'm trying to choose either a familiar or an elemental companion. I find the Automaton interesting due to its passive +2 save bonus and its ability to flank, but am I right in thinking I would need to use one of my move actions to move it into flanking position?

I can't seem to find an elemental companion feat equivalent to Active Familiar which would let it and me move simultaneously. Is there something similar for elemental companions? (I'm working with a level 21 psion/swordmage hybrid by the way).

IT already has the ability to move when you move.

Ah good to know. I haven't got the books, just the DDI compendium, and it is sometimes short on information.
