I love this sheet; my whole group gave an, "oooh pretty!" when I put my character sheets on the table. And then demanded the URL.
Great job dude.
Thank you so much! Always great to hear people liking my sheet, especially if they can use it to make the rest of the group envious
Would it be possible to add a randomizer button for height & weight as well as a checkbox for English system or Metric system? The purpose of the button would be for those of us who are too lazy to come up with our own numbers. (...)
Sorry about that. I didn't think that the height & weight had tooltips.
But, still, what about linking the max hp to the Adventurer's League toggle for Adventurer's League legal max hp? (...)
I have to agree with Noah Ivaldi about the randomizers. I don't like them in sheets and feel that, as a D&D player, you are likely to appreciate the physical rolling of dice. Noah Ivaldi was also correct about the tooltips, all the information you request is there. I'm very sorry that I cannot make the tooltips readable for you (or anybody with a high enough screen resolution). However, having the Adventurer's League button add the fixed hp in the max hp field automatically is a great idea, so I did that in v7.3
>> When you have a quaterstaff in the attack section and you have Outlander selected as a background, the equipment section adds the staff twice giving the character 2 quarterstaffs.
This happens because it matches "staff" to the "quaterstaff" string. I've remedied this
>> Question: Will you be adding anything from the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide when it comes out in a month or so? (Release date is first week of November, but most game stores will get it the last week of September) On the other hand, if you think it is too specific for homebrew, probably not.
I really haven't made a decision on whether or not I want to add the kind of 'extra' things like this and the unearthed arcana stuff. I think it is a lot of work, but if somebody transcribes them properly I'll add them for sure!
I intend to finish the proofreading shortly. I noticed that the wild shape limits of druids were horribly miscalculated, so I fixed that, too. Circle of the Land was only wrong at Lv3, but Circle of the Moon was egregiously wrong at almost every level. Don't forget to fix the Limited Feature section after you get the fixed classes document. Anyway, I had to stop by to drop a few notes.(...)
The Wild Shape description was wrong on several points, too, like skill and save proficiencies. I'll talk about Wild Shape in another post to clarify some things . . . eventually.
Well some errors are bound to happen when you transcribe so much in such a rush/short time. I've personally never played a druid or had any druids in the parties I've DM'ed, so I always kinda gloss over that class

Guess I glossed over more than just the Druid, though. Must be all the late-night transcribing that I was doing. Another reason why its so great you proofread everything! Thank you so much for that

There were a couple of descriptions that I was unable to use because they were far too long to fit on a single line. So please be aware of that. I have some more comments, but I'll email them to you privately.
>> Gladiator is still coded in as a background option(...)
Somehow all the 'variant' background options were lost in a previous version, corrected it in v7.3. Gladiator will stay in the background dropdown as discussed earlier (I don't want to write separate code for just 1 option like this).
>> Stone's Endurance to be added to the Limited Features section
This was done for v7.1 already

V7.1 had the following item in the changelog:
- Corrected the omission of limited features for Half-Orc and Goliath
>> large label of "PROF" and "EXP" over those boxes on the right, rather than having itty-bitty labels over each individual box?
I thought of that before but it doesn't really fit. It took me a lot of work to make the redesign fit like it does and because of that redesign it now does fit

It has been added to v7.3
>> You made the equipment section more user-friendly. I could kiss you
You are welcome!
>> I get a virus (Avast blocks it, of course.)
Avast is the only one that blocks it. Avast wrongly sees the file as a virus. marioinfinity has the correct answer: submit the file to Avast and ask them to remedy the false-positive.
You can report it to Avast here.
>> It comes to my attention that the Bear totem spirit gives you resistance to all damage
except psychic
An omission on my part, has been fixed in v7.3 (although not a pretty fix, but it works)
>> I'm currently looking at a bard with two instances of Bardic Inspiration at Lv5
I added some custom code to make the BI has a short rest after lvl5 that caused it to be duplicated. I used a very easy solution that I didn't test thoroughly. After 2 hours of trying I find a solution that works. BI was the only one where this happened, so good job finding it
(..)Well I don't think anyone's going to use them for very short term circumstantial situations, like doing a ranged attack within 5 feet of someone / flanking someone. But there's many conditions that give you advantage/disadvantage on attacks for something on top of exhaustion. E.g. if someone casts True Strike, that's something they'll want to remember when their next turn comes up. Probably things related to fear effects as well. Attack per Action circle might be a good place to include those boxes if you don't want them in the To Hit box.(...)
I've added it to v7.3
Acid Splash has been left absent from the drop down weapons list for a number of revisions.
It hasn't been left absent because it has never been there. Acid splash doesn't require a spell attack roll, so it is intentionally not part of the list of weapons.
Your generator is being flagged by Avast as a virus. The Javascript function for the pdfka is flagged as bad.

-- I did submit it to Avast but if you download/save you have to have it off or it'll destroy the form totally. I dunno how long it takes to unflag with one submission but as the creator perhaps contacting them could also get it allowed.
Also; the import/export doesn't seem to work with Acrobat DC (the newest version).
Few thing's I've also noticed:
Cleric's LR/SR abilities are missing for domains (the one i noticed was the Tempests Wrath of the Storm)
Cannot modify the Damage to weapon attacks to include Divine Strike from Clerics. (It's an always on ability for the first weapon attack, it would be nice if the "Modifier" for the form would let you include more than 7 characters - ie: if it shows 1D10 and you want to add the +1d8 it only lets you type 1D10+1D in the modifier field)
Noah Ivaldi dealth with your questions on Wrath of the Storm and Divine Strike and I totally agree with both
As for Avast. It is very unfortunate that it is being wrongly flagged. If you upload the file to a website that scans it with multiple virus scanners, like
http://www.virustotal.com/index.html, it shows you that only 2 detect it as a virus. This usually means it is a false positive. Thank you for sending it to Avast to unflag it. I'll do the same and if more people do it we might remedy this problem.
I have no problem with the import/export function. Don't forget that the export function only works in Acrobat Pro! Also I don't use the very latest version of DC because it has a bug that makes it impossible to move the "Javascript-window" and I find that very annoying.
For those who missed it above, you can report it to Avast here.
