D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

You can edit the weight of any piece of equipment on the equipment list. I have done it several times. The weight changes to what you enter. The only difficult part to edit as far as weight goes, is the coinage. The coinage is either all or nothing. But the workaround is only to leave the coin fields blank and add the coins to the equipment list itself and add in the weight of the coins you want.

Or I'm still misunderstanding your request.

Question: Is it possible to change the color of the dragon around the HP section to match the color of the chosen theme? The other other part that still lingers in the original red color is the Initiative "arrow." On page 1 the arrow points left, on page 5 the arrow points left.

Can I assume that you cannot change the color of all the dragon heads?
You will be happy to read that the new version (v9.2) now offers the option to change the color of the dragon heads and that the arrow in the initiative bar changes color together with the theme. I found a vector of the dragon head in one of the adventurer's league free downloads. It was hiding in plain sight all this time ;)

The dragon in the HP section is another matter unfortunately. That one will remain red no matter what you do.

Just a quick bug report.

The v9.1 (letter) sheet doesn't show the correct HP for a Draconic Origin Sorcerer or a Hill Dwarf. It shows correctly in the tool-tip pop-up, but it doesn't put that value in the HP value box.
Thanks for letting me know! I changed something when I added the HP-tooltip support for the companion and that broke the Adv. League functionality. I fixed it in the new version (v9.2).

Great that your dragonborn can now feel more at home on his character sheet!

I absolutely love this sheet. Its fantastic. I had, though, some questions:

- Is there any way to not have it auto-calculate AC? I like to fill out everything that reasonably would not change until I level up (Abilities, skills, features, feats, etc.) but not fill in attacks and armor. It makes it hard to change with a pen, when theres a big fat '10' in the middle of the AC field. Is it possible make that editable or non auto-calculated?

- Likewise, my group uses an alternate weight and carrying system. Is it possible to completely hide the equipment section on page 2, or maybe just make it so that it doesn't give max carry values (or that they are editable!).

Thanks no matter what - I'm using the sheet either way :)
Great to hear and some good ideas! I love having better functionality for the paper and pencil players (that's the way I use this sheet as well). I have added both things you requested in a minimalistic form in the new version (v9.2).

- In order to make the calculated AC field empty, you have to delete the value for amor bonus (the one that normally says 10 and changes when you select an armor).

- The encumbrance fields will now be hidden when you make the Carrying Capacity Modifier a 0. You can find this field by clicking the "Modifiers" button.

- Any calculated weight (sub)total will now be hidden when the total is a 0. So if you want to have the "Total Weight" on page 2 be empty, simply click the "Weight" button and uncheck everything.

Character Sheet/Generator v9.2 (13-10-2015) has the following changelog:
- Added the option to change the color of the dragon head (just so you can add some more purple… and the rest of the colors)
- The small arrow on the initiative-bar now also changes color as per the chosen theme
- Fixed bug: Toggling the Adv. League button now again uses the correct hp for Draconic Origin Sorcerers and Hill Dwarves (thanks Undrhil for noticing)
- Deleting the AC value for armor now makes the calculated AC display an empty field (as per the feature request of JValeur)
- Putting a “0” in the Carrying Capacity Modifier now makes all the calculated encumbrance fields empty (as per the feature request of JValeur)
- The subtotals and total weight will now display nothing if the value that would be shown equals zero

Wow - not only are you open to suggestions, but you work fast as well. Do you take donations - I feel like you deserve a small something for the amount of effort put into this!

Thank you either way!

Thank you for the feedback and praise! I can't let good suggestion go unused. A lot of the features in this sheet are the way they are because of suggestions of people on this forum. So please keep on making suggestions for improvements!

As for donations, they are always welcome of course. This sheet takes up a lot of my time to maintain and update constantly :) This is on the download page:

I put something towards a beer for you! :)

I have an issue now, however. If I choose the 'hide all fields' option under print, it removes all the graphics, including the entire ability section. Both with an empty sheet, and when some of it is filled out. I'm not sure if it's my Adobe or if it's a general thing. Because it has worked before and now it seems to work with neither version (9.1 or 9.2)

Thank you a lot!

Great catch on the "Hide All Fields" option in the print dialog. I didn't think at all about how the new graphic-feature interacts with that. Because all the interchangeable graphics are also in fields, they get hidden along with the rest. I have to manually add them to the exceptions. It is fixed in version 9.3!

Purple, This is a excellent character sheet and it is the only one that I use.

Just wanted to make you aware, if you are not already, it would seem Paladin Oath of Vengence, the Abjure Enemy actually shows the text for Sacred Weapon Oath of Devotion.

Keep up the excellent work.

Your class feature and spell notes alone speed up the game for both DM and players. Keep up the good work. Let us know when you update with those Paladin corrections.

Hey, Purple.

I have a suggestion for a feature: can we get a button for the "background feature" area to allow us to change the feature shown? Since backgrounds are customizable, this would allow me to have a customized background using one of the PHB background features, which you already have programmed in. Or, maybe have that second dropdown box allow for selection of an existing background which contains the background feature you want to use, if you enter a custom background in the actual background box?

I'm not sure of any other way to accomplish this simply, but if you come up with something else that works, that's still awesome! :)
