What did he do or say that was a complete lack of class?

I heard the jerk assaulted Andy Serkis, unleashing a stream of expletives at him as he tried to take the award away. Absolutely disgraceful. I'll watch Return of the King, but that'll be the absolute LAST time that I support Gollum's boorish behavior by paying to see any future movies he's in.

Well I watched the show. Must say I think so far Yoda did a great acceptance speech. Course I think the performance by Pink was interesting to say the least.

I much preferred the Tatu performance.

And for those who didn't catch it, Gollum ended his tirade screaming "MTV sucks!... Thank you." Very funny.

Oh, so do I. In fact, I believe I saw another minute pass on their 15 minutes of fame. They are up to minute 10 now and fast headed towards the Spice Girls Retirement Home for Pop Stars without any talent.

I saw the Gollum speech on a link from my flatmate, does anyone have it?

It's wonderful. Especially when he starts swearing and screaming at the camera, and calling Peter Jackson 'an overrated hack'.
