Square Enix has announced that FFXIII will be developed for a multi-platform release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America and Europe.

It's not surprising given the cost to develop FFXIII.

What I care about is how good a game looks and plays on my PS3. How many other platforms it gets released on is irrelevant.

My interest in FFXIII is still lukewarm, at best. That said, I'm having a field day at the expense of all those idiot PS3 fanbois acting like it's the end of the world.

Probably not... they haven't done that for a long time. Plus, PCs are somewhat neglected nowadays, except for strategy and FPS games.

Meh. Too much science fiction to be called Final Fantasy.

Really, any genre that's even moderately workable on consoles has been moving that way since the PS2 launch. It's a lot more profitable.
