Multiclass ranger quarry use

This question has probably been brought up a lot, but ENWorld doesn't want me using the search function, so here I am!
Multi-class ranger gets to use 'hunter's quarry' once per encounter.
Hunter's quarry reads that it lasts until the end of the fight, and I get a bonus 1d6 to damage on each hit once a turn.
So If I use my multiclass hunter's quarry do I get the bonus d6 once per encounter or against that target until the end of the encounter.
I was pretty certain I had it until the end of the encounter, but the power cards printed by the DDI generator say '+1d6 to damage once per encounter'.
I know the power cards aren't law, but maybe I interpreted the rules wrong?

In any case, I still say multi-class ranger is the best feat, because it also gives me training in perception!

The multi-class ranger feat was errata'd so that the quarry designation only lasts until the end of your next turn - so you can get the +1d6 damage on the turn you quarry the target, and one more time on your next turn.
