For the local campaign, the ranger would most likely be a human npc, so Meilikki would be the way to go. The elves I have running in our local FR campaign are a tad xenophobic and elitist.
As for LG, I'm going to have to drop the Druid path. Its not likely to work well as I envisioned it. Rather than corrupt the image in my head of the character, I'll stick with Ranger and maybe pick up a few fighter levels for bonus feats on the path to Deepwood Sniper.
I don't buy the "get back to nature" route for the spiritual vows. There are too many odd discrepancies in that weapon list (like scimitar, a purely middle eastern weapon in a prehistoric English Isle pagan religion.) Humanoids need tools to hunt, that is how they evolved. They lack the natural weaponry needed to compete with things stronger than themselves. So they use spears, bows, rocks, what have you to hunt. Tigers may not hunt at range, but people do.
