Multiple Magic Weapon Properties

Maybe I'm just blind, but is there anywhere in the 4e PHB that deals with having multiple magic weapon properties? i.e. Can you have a Flaming Dancing Shortsword?

Havn't seen any either on my 1st quick read-through

One could probably calculate a special effect's level equivalent (by substrating the value of a straight +1 to +6 from the level) to create your own multi-fonction items though.

Exemple :

magic +4 = lvl 16
dancing +4 = lvl 20
flaming +4 = lvl 20

Dancing value = 4 levels
Flaming value = 4 levels

Flaming Dancing +4 = lvl 24?

I was going a little simpler.

Lifedrinker +1 - Level 5
Lightning +5 - Level 25

=

Lifedrinker Lightning +6 - Level 30

+6 hit / +6 dam
Does +1d6 necrotic, +5d6 lightning on Criticals.

Math seems to work out mostly.

Vicious +1 (lvl 2) + Terror +4 (lvl 19) = Vicious Terror +5 (lvl 21)

Seems to still fall within the general guidlines of +'s vs. level...

Only if you're okay with the Vicious Terror +5 costing less than the terror +5.

edit:
Heck, if we take your system to the limit:
Magic +1 (level 1) + Magic +1 (level 1) = Magic +2 (level 2)

I can now repeat this to get an even more absurd Magic +6 (level 6) item.

I suspect the way to build that sort of item with the current RAW is to make it an artifact (which are not in the PHB, but rather the DMG.)

Cheers,

Well if you look at the flaming and dancing weapons, they are always at +4 levels than their basic magic counterparts. I havn't checked every item to make sure it is so, but that would indicate that the "flaming" is worth 4 levels, period.

When I have more time I will check the math for all weapons n armor to see if it works for all items or just the flaming and dancing ones.
