The one I'm dying to play sometime is a pouncing barbarian/swift hunter.

speaking of which, can anyone tell me about this pounce option? Is it in the players handbook II, i saw it was stated it was in the completed champions but cannot find it.

It's the lion totem alternate barbarian class feature in Complete Champion (p. 46): you simply replace fast movement with pounce. It's that + the whirling frenzy variant in UA that makes me rub my little munchkin hands together with glee. :)

If I were your GM and knew you made this post, I'd look over the two characters, then...

GM : Rex, the maiden fair thanks you for saving her from the brigands, she collapses into your arms and gazes longingly into your eyes. She sighs and presses herself against you. She reaches her hand up to caress your face. Her lips part and it is clear that she wants you to kiss her. Make a Will save.

Rex: njhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuynb* thats my worst save. <rolls> Heh! 26!

GM : I'm sorry, that wasn't enough. The Vampire gazes deeply into your eyes, you feel your willpower slip away You have been dominated. She draws you close and whispers into your ear, "Kill your friend."

* at this point of the post, my cat jumped onto the laptop, but it sounded like something Rex would say, so left it in.

Could you do something like this... and its built for half-orc... (am i missing anything?)

level 1: B1 Pounce Option, Destructive Rage
level 2: F1 Power Attack (fighter bonus)
level 3: F2 Cleave (fighter bonus) + Intimidating Rage
level 4: F3 --
level 5: F4 Improved Bull Rush (fighter bonus)
level 6: F5 Shock Trooper
level 7: FB1 Frenzy 1/day, Diehard*
level 8: FB2 Supreme Cleave*
level 9: FB3 Frenzy 2/d, Leap Attack? (good if you have pounce?)
level 10: FB4 Deathless Frenzy*
level 11: FB5 Frenzy 3/d, Improved Power Attack*
level 12: FB6 Extra Rage / Extended Rage (My DM has allowed this feat to effect Rage and Frenzy. I couldn't find where it says it does affect Frenzy so I assume it doesn't)

Look over all good? What else would you get into the further levels? Greatsword? I'm going to a frenzied berserker because ALSO my DM is allowing a few tricks against frenzy, like diplomacy for calming me down, etc)

Thanks!

ps - I know we're bending some pretty serious rules but we enjoy having fun rather than sticking hardcore to the book.

You could do something like this, and you definitely need Leap Attack. Honestly, this spec puts a lot of eggs into the Charge+Power Attack basket, and I consider Leap Attack to be a necessity. Assuming you hit with all 3 attacks, you lose a total of 33 damage that round by not taking this.

As for the weapon, you can go for either greatsword or greataxe. At a certain point, your dice damage becomes insignificant next to the power attack damage, so the extra 1 minimum damage from gr8sword isn't important. The critical range is where it matters, and I haven't really made up my mind between the two yet. With improved crit greatsword comes out on top, but without, I'm leaning towards greataxe. It's a tough choice, but I don't think either is technically wrong.

^^

Wouldn't pounce negate that? Or will leap attack give me other bonuses?

Not sure what you're trying to say, I failed my intelligence save I guess :(

Leap attack says that if you charge and make a Jump check to cover at least 10 feet of ground, you add an additional multiplier to your Power Attacks in that round. So normally for using a 2 hander and having Improved Power Attack, you get 3x what you take off with Power Attack. Having Leap Attack means you add 4x what you take off with Power Attack.

You use Shock Trooper to make subtract the Power Attack penalty from your AC instead of your attacks, so you hit almost certainly, and because you did a Leap Attack with the full Power Attack at level 11, your damage bonus from Power Attack is 44 for every attack in the round.

Pounce is great because it allows you to get this bonus for all of your attacks in the round, and if you hit with all 3 attacks, Leap Attack has added 33 damage that round.

Another feat to look for in the future is Combat Brute, which says if you charge in the first round and then Power Attack for at least 5 in the second round, you add 2 multipliers to your Power Attack damage. Thus, if you charge a foe and kill it in the first round, then do another Leap Attack charge against another enemy, you add 6x what you take off with Power Attack to your damage.
