Murchad's Legacy is a hidden gem

Wow, I finally got down to reading Murchad's Legacy, which I picked up just because it was 100% OGL.

I REALLY like it. The opening anectdote, the adventures, everything is really good. The art and layout is comparable to pretty much everything from circa 2001-2002 in the d20 publishing glut, but I'm not complaining. The writing is GREAT.

Yes, yes, it is. Biggus really put together a fine product in Murchad's Legacy. I picked it up earlier this year because I had been considering running a 100% OGC game (basically, I was planning to run a ML campaign using the Anime d20 SRD and snippets of the 3.5 SRD).

There are more potential adventure hooks within ML than in all the other d20 books combined. The world and its cast of characters just pour from the pages. The only drawback is that, despite his claims to the contrary, Biggus is not sexy.

He is, however, quite an accomplished writer.

I really like that it's 100% OGC - with the projects I do it's nice to know that I can take something from this campaign and make it into a web freebie without un-writing the setting from it.

Unfortunately I actually can't find it right now - Parent's Basement Games (which was basically BiggusGeekus and one other guy) doesn't seem to exist and I can't find it on RPGNow either.

The info (so basically, the writing) is available on a Wiki though, I don't know if that's run by Biggus or just someone's home game of Iron Heroes.
