Murder is the Pits

Ironwolf's grumbling was intended to be heard by the room. It's his low charimsa, probably futile attempt to establish a bond with the other gladiators. He's wise enough to worry that Petra by singling them out repeatedly will alienate the party from the more experienced gladiators.

Vanitri's comments were generaly to the four of us, though the poison comment was to everyone.

"Yes Ros, your bow is probably best, and keep singing as long as you can* for I don't know if this will take. But don't be afraid to take a chance if the oppertunity presents itself. Bravery will be rewarded here by the crowd."

Vanitri greats the other four members of the team. "Welcome ladies and gentilemen, let's give the people a good show. If we work as a team, we'll be nigh unstoppable."

Vanitri will place a 200 gold bet on each individual party member including himself, 150 gold on all 4, and 50 gold on all 8, just in case. He's feeling lucky and generaly reckless.

*OOC: It's a free action to perform the inspire, but can you sustane it each round as a free action? Or if you continue it do you have to take a full round action? If you can't you're better off doing it once and then attacking, so you can get something out of it

the orriginal perform check is a standard action under 3.5, but the effect begins imediately instead of taking a full turn. continueing the performance is a free action, but you cannot speak, cast spells with a verbal component, etc.

Michael ruminating

"Spells for eight?"
Michael looks over the group worriedly.
Bless, obviously: it should stack well with this many people. After that, though, things are pretty scarce.
"I'm not that blessed with Sela's grace, Vanitri. Anti-poison spells are in a very short supply, and not all that effective. I think I can cover four people with a little protection that would last for a few seconds...which would be almost totally useless."
He looks at Click and Clack.
"You guys have any ideas? I can think about standup fights, but bug hunts are another matter."

(And in retrospect, Michael admires the neat way the healer dodged his questions about the run on bloodfire...)

"Well, then we'll have to hope that it doesn't come to poison then. But a blessing would be good, then save yourself just in case we need your healing, but keep something usefull in reserve besides your just growth spell." Vanitri says.

OOC: Didn't know if there was a slow poison anymore, no big deal.

"Growth, blessing, a light healing...it won't be so tempting to burn it on anything else. And minor healings. Alternately, I can drop either the growth or the blessing for another heal -- but the blessing should be the last to go, and the enlarge self is so very pretty. And effective. Still, if people feel more healing is good, that's the spell to drop.
Sadly, Sela gives me no power over poison yet -- though I'll haul in the medical bag. This is why I was hoping for undead. That's easy."

Rosalynn smiles to Vanitri and then to Micheal. I am not sure if I can Big Brother...but I shall try.

She looks to Click and Clack and Tiny and Mountian. She wonders what they are thinking.
