For me, it was a toss up between teh evil one and teh dragon hunters (this mainly because I recently picked up the Draconmicaon and have ideas swimming through my head). I think I would prefer the evil campaign though, as long as the players didn't use it as an excuse to just act stupid. I'd love to get into an evil campaign where the party has an agenda and they work together to achieve it.

If you run either of the above two via PBP, I'd be interested in playing.

Those of us interested in an evil campaign, might it be a good idea to start tossing around ideas now, to save time and conflict later? My personal desire is to play a tyrant-type character, whose primary vice is causing fear in those he deems weaker than him (everyone but his fellow PCs, a few choice NPCs, and any superior officers deemed necessary). Had I been running him in Of Vile Darkness, I'd intended to make him a half-fiend cleric or blackguard; with a lower power level, I might need to go tiefling instead.

Not that I recommend it to anyone, my RP is horrid and I hate my character cause of it... Still like the concept I just miss fired on it.

Not that I recommend it to anyone, my RP is horrid and I hate my character cause of it... Still like the concept I just miss fired on it.

I'd have to say I was a little disappointed, as well, though for different reasons; with the disclaimer Isida gave, I'd hoped for a grittier game. It's evil, I'll warrant you, but not truly vile.

I got edited or had to edit a post for censorship reasons... Which really left some of the vileness out of my character and left me in a hole on what to do...

Censorship reasons? Does the board automatically exclude certain words, did Isida or a mod request a less explicit phrasing, or some of each?

I've never had an issue with the board censorship... If you do you need to go and buy Thesaurus, but to answer the question it was Isida who requested it and I edited to with out hesitation.

According to Garyh, I talk to him on AIM fairly often, and this was long before the thread was started if you label it as Vile it can be Vile. So I'm rather unsure if I was pushing that boundary.

I imagine it depends a lot on the DM. When I think of "vile," I'm probably thinking about things that they didn't spell out explicitly in the BoVD because the writers didn't like thinking about them. Other people may consider torture vile; I generally don't use the term until it's something I would hesitate to do to someone I disliked.
