Mutants and Masterminds Questions

First Post
Well i figure it is time for me to ask the one question that is always on my mund the past few hours......What in M&M is OGL and can be used in my own product. I have read the OGL in the book, but i do not speak that language very well.

Here is the situation, I have had a sort of falling out with DNW's (Ill leave my reasons out for flame reasons), so I bought M&M, I love the system, i like it for one timers and such. Well i then started thinking of how well would M&M would fit into D20 modern, concidering there is optional rules in the book to use HP's and such. So then i started tweeking and playing, so far it has been working well. I did make some changes to the powers system, such as 12 PP per level instead of 15. The reason i ask is because i am noe thinking of trying to release a PDF based off of the two systems detailing my Super hero setting, so i would need to include rules changes and such. I was unable to find any info at M&M.com on there superlink stuff.....so maybe someone here would be able to help out a little.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post, i am typing very fast so i dont get caught at work.

Peace.

Pretty much as far as I've determined, big parts of M&M ARE OGL, but GreenRonin isn't going to help you out a whole lot toward making anything. There's no SRD and Superlink products are licensed BY them and so you have to work pretty closely with them, I think, to release a "superlink" product.

I think Power Points and Hero Points are with-held as company intellectual property and CAN'T be used without the Superlink logo.

This is their attempt to keep all M&M compatible products within the "quality control" of GR, as far as I've heard.

definitely check out http://www.mutantsandmasterminds.com/ in general, and http://www.mutantsandmasterminds.com/superlink/ specifically. My understanding is that they are very easy to work with in terms of getting the SuperLink approval - more info in the FAQ at that last link.

There's no SRD but the OGC of the book includes most of the book (check the front of your book for the list). The stuff that isn't OGC is basically what you'd need to put out your own version of it - power costs, using Power Points, awarding Power Points, that sord of thing.

Hope that answers at least some of your questions :/
