Mutants & Masterminds: Freedom City - 2nd Edition

I'd say it's easier to use Freedom City as a foundation than making your own city from scratch. Sure, the city has a history with superheroes, but I still think it makes for an excellent source of inspiration. And it's an excellent book as well.

Where do people put Freedom City? I know it is designed to be somewhere on the East Coast of the US, but at a population of 3.8 million it's the same population size as Los Angeles, and becomes the second (or third) largest city in the US behind New York; hard to just squeeze in to an already crowded area.

I just placed it on the East Coast and didn't really worry about what state or how it fit in. We for the most part just played in Freedom City and some surrounding suberbs and places.

If you look at the actual outline of the city itself you will see that the shape is actually taken from New Jersey. One of the playes on the M&M forum actually drew it into the map for people to check out: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b381/demongg/Hr_Freedom-City--New-Jersey.jpg

Wow, great find! The bay is even called "Great Bay" in real life.

I've ganked your player's find to start a thread over on the Atomic Think Tank (the official M&M forums). This question comes up all the time over there. You can find the thread here.

And here's a link to a Google Map that outlines that stretch of coast a little cleaner than your player's map.

Hey!
That was me. Cool, glad you guys found it.

As a bit of pride, I'll also let you know I illustrated the Claremont Academy map, and the 6-7 little mock advertisements...

It was fun and I'm glad I was able to offer them.
