[Mutants & Masterminds] Saiya-Jins.. How would they be handled?

Durability, Extra Limb, medium levels of super-strength and super-speed and about 12 levels of Growth with the Triggered Extra (sees the full moon) and the Uncontrolled Flaw. The transformation into an Ape is primarily a special effect, since the giant form is the actual power. They'd also have Berzerker in Giant Ape form, but I don't know how to write that up.

Mind you, this would be for a basic, starting Sayjin, like Goku was around the middle of Dragonball. For more experienced Sayjins, you'd have to bulk them up to greater levels with higher levels of super-strength and super-speed, Energy Blasts, Boost, and other such powers.

Don't buy anything for turning into a big ape of destruction - instead take the Transformation flaw.

For more DBZ stuff, rebuild the world so that the average planet has a hardness of 15 and scale down from there. Then you can use less cumbersome characters that would be in the normal Pl 10-15 range. I'd say build the characters with half ranks in powers, with a boost for going super.

Be serious guys. Although I won't be able to seriously contribute to this conversation until Wednesday or Thursday of next week when my copy of the book comes in to my FLGS.

At low levels, I'd say several ranks in Strike and Protection, with the Transformation/berserk weaknesses. As they go up, I'd swap the Transformation out for Energy Field, and get rid of berserk (for some reason, they all seem to lose their tails). Finally, I'd say that at the top, maxed out Energy Field with Protection, Energy Blast, and a few others. The rest is more or less flavor.

Actually, I would make a power from scratch called "Training" and the effects I would include in it are all of the ones from Super Strength, Super Dex, flight, running, Energy blast, and Protection, so

1 base
10 effects
so 11pp a rank

I would buy 1 or 2 ranks of training, and then buy boost(powers) with the flaw obvious, and duration extra twice making it sustained for a final cost of 3pp a rank, so a fighter would look like this regardless of Race:

Training +2(11pp a rank, 22pp)
Boost +8(Duration x2, Obvious, 3pp a rank, 24pp)

As a character gets stronger, add to their training ranks to make them tougher all the time, or add to their boost to make them like Freiza, he looked like a Joke, but was soo good at powering up that he was able to take on almost anyone until Super Goku knocked him on his butt.

I hope to be able to give my first real M&M comment on this subject later today. One of the owners of my FLGS called and said that my copy of M&M was in. Now all I have to do is wait for the person that I asked to pick it up to come home.
