Nice write up, liked the social encounter especially. Did you write down what happened every round so you could let us know or do you just have an amazing memory?
I'd say amazing memory, but I think it was more of an amazing session that helped me remember everything. I might be a little fuzzy on who went when in the social encounter, but that's what happened in terms of the whole.
For fun, the guy who played the paladin sat down with me at lunch today and we went over the same fight in 3rd ed: (for comparison)
Surprise rnd:
Bandit attacks warlock with sneak attack. warlock has 9 hp in 3 (using same stats), and goes down in one hit from the 2d6+1 damage.
Barbarian charges as a standard action and attacks the Paladin, hits for 1d12+6 damage (in rage). Even on an average roll, the paladin only has 11 hp, so he's in serious trouble
First round:
Rogue moves to flank the paladin if he's still standing, or moves to attack the fighter, for 1d6+1 damage.
Cleric moves to heal the warlock, rolling 1d8+1 to bring her up to an average of 4 hp.
Barbarian goes again, likely killing the paladin if he hadn't already knocked him to -hp. If so, he moves to attack the fighter.
IF the paladin is still up he can attempt a smite (but isn't necessarily sure the barbarian is evil), and would do 1d6+5 damage)
Guard charges the fighter, rather than using a crossbow from a distance, if he hits, he does 1d10+3, and the fighter has 14hp, so she's probably still standing.
Fighter (if she's still standing after a possible 3 attacks against her) would attack the barbarian, but since the warhammer only does 1d8+3, not 1d10+5, the barbarian is likely still standing.
The mage steps out of the shadows and fires a magic missile at the cleric for 1d4+1 damage
Warlock fires an eldritch blast of 1d6 damage at the rogue, which would hurt, but not drop the rogue.
Round 2:
Rogue attacks the fighter, now flanking, for 2d6+1 (if this hits, she's probably down)
Cleric has to cast defensively to heal the fighter, or cast defensively to heal the paladin for 1d8+1. Either way, his turn is up trying to keep the party alive and fighting.
The barbarian attacks the fighter again 1d12+6 and probably drops her.
The guard attacks either the cleric or whichever one is up between fighter/paladin, another 1d10+3 (likely droping one of them)
The wizard moves to the cleric and casts shocking grasp for 1d6 damage, bringing the cleric very close to death.
The warlock finishes off the rogue with another blast.
Round 3.
Cleric, if he's still up, has one more 1st level spell, but he can pretty easily take out the wizard with a swing of his mace, so he attacks for 1d8+2.
If the paladin somehow managed to stay alive, he would attack here, but I doubt it. if so, he attacks the barbarian for 1d6+2 and could possibly bring him down if the fighter's hits were decent.
IF the barbarian is still alive, and figher/paladin are down, he charges the warlock and hits for 1d12+6. he's got rage for another 3 rounds, so he's probably doing ok. I'm sure the warlock is dead.
The guard is probably still kickin', and if he doesn't have a paladin/fighter to hit he'll attack the cleric and likely kill him, if he hits.
This was based off of the initiative & spots that the party had with the 4e game. It doesn't sound near as exciting and at least one party member is going down, though two is more likely, and it's highly possible that a character dies in this fight.
