A bunch of strangers wake up in a structure made up of a series of cubic rooms. Many of the cubes contain deathtraps of assorted varieties. The strangers figure eventually, they'll reach the end and be able to get out.

Fortunately, one of the strangers turns out to be one of the world's greatest experts on security systems, booby traps, etc, etc.

He dies in about the third room.
