Macromedia Flash 8.0 -- I use Fireworks all the time but I've barely touched Flash. Well yesterday my boss and I had a conversation.
"You know any Flash?"
"I dabbled with it some. Been a couple years - nothing complicated, just transitions and basic animations" (trivia - ENnies 2003's projector show was in Flash).
"Any Actionscript"
"No."
"Think you could learn it"
"I guess. It's a C-like language."
"Ok", he says dropping a manual and a project disk on my desk, "You have till Thursday."
Got done at about noon today.
It's a dirt simple file that has 4 buttons that when you click them a larger image or a movie is loaded in. Here's the tricky part - you can't embed the images - you got to pull them out of an xml file
Oh well. The file will be on Home & Garden TV's website by the end of the month. It also looks like I'll be doing more work like it.
