My first art thread

Alright Westley, never had an art thread before. You can try if you like, I'll most likely kill you in the morning...

Anyway, in response to a thread about Dukes of Hell in the General forum lead me to find a bug up my arse to draw me some Dukes of Hell and maybe even some Demon Princes eventually. This is the first so far, my version of Dispater (heavily influenced by the 1E illo.). It's a WIP at the moment, but here it is.

I see the pose as a kind of seemingly uninterested dismissive hand-waving "Ahh, such things happen don't they?" sort of thing.

Thoughts? Crits? (I'll get the first one out of the way, yeah the leg drifting off the bottom of the page is 'Bad Form'. ) Storn, I know you float around here and like to dole out da wisdom.

Mmm, true. I had noticed that (and was hoing either no one else would notice it -- telling me it was just me seeing it -- or have someone mention it and confirm it). Originally his mouth was closed, which went a fair way toward kicking the legs out from under that impression. I may well go back to the closed mouth.
