My first session!!!

Heh heh... I remember my first session.

I spent fifteen minutes creating a human fighter. Ran into Ghouls on Ravenloft and since I had a bad Initiative, my rolls consisted of a save (missed badly) and the DM asked if I wanted to roll the attacks on fellow party members. (He was all heart)
Luckily, my next character worked out well and I was hooked....that was about 1990 I believe.

Keep us posted on your Russian Greyhawk game. If you're not on Greytalk, you may want to subscribe, since there have been good discussions of the various cultures of GH in the past, which may be of use in creating your Russian GH setting.

Will do. I've been meaning to subscribe to Greytalk, I think I've had some trouble doing so in the past.

Big congratulations!

It's always good going back to gaming after a long hiatus...

Nor that I can say, my hiatus is not finished yet, but it will be good, I'm sure...

For other setting info that has a more Eastern European feel, you might be able to cannibalize the Old World, from the Warhammer FRP. Kislev is a good choice for a model, though that setting is a little more modern than typical D&D (Renaissance, pistols, etc.).

Russian resources

Wasn't there an adventure set in Kiev in one of the recent Dungeon magazines? For a setting like "Red Sails" or something. Also, the "Monsternomicon" (3rd party monster collection) has stats for a rusalka.

Thanks for those scopes! :)

If someone could give me the # of that Dungeon Mag, I'd sure appreciate it!!
