It's the first of two images for their upcoming d6-line.

I like it! the line quality reminds me of Norweigan comic book artist Jason. I'm definitely feeling for the robot.

You're the third person to mention it, but no it wasn't intentional. I wanted a simple looking robot in the vein of Big Guy and Rusty the Robot, and early Iron Man. Robots like imagined in the 40'ies and 50'ies.

I have seen the Animatrix once but I don't remember much of it other than the part with the fight i the dojo (the computer animation) and the one with the runner who pushes himself too far.

I consciously try to avoid any IP when doing work for publishers since it's simply copyright infringement.

The first one reminds me a bit of Paul Grist... he's a comics artist. I like it... and the second one too.
