Synnibarr rocks! Not only do you get to spend several hours creating a character, but once you start playing you need a calculator. Man, I miss my fix.

Really, how bad can it be if I played it as my first game and it didn't turn me off to gaming entirely? It's still my absolute favorite game of all time. And sure, maybe it doesn't encourage character development, but come on. We're all big girls (and boys). We're perfectly capable of developing our characters without the book telling us how to do it.
