My inner Xaositect and a moment of whimsy

Shemeska

Adventurer
I recently snagged my Xmas gift to myself this year, the snag being that I had to drive from Raleigh NC to Richmond Va to pick it up, and then I had to somehow manage to move it up a flight up stairs without killing myself. I shouldn't have spent the money for it, but nostalgia and a good deal made me a very weak man.

The photos say it all:

Took six hours on the road, an hour moving it into the apartment (and making sure it fit in the doors because the dimensions were larger than what I'd originally been quoted), and of course scaring the cat when I turned it on. But it's in really nice condition, everything works, all the original side and front artwork, and I've even got a bucket of quarters sitting in the room so I can play it like it was meant to be played. *glee*

On some level I feel stupid for this little adventure, but on another level I'm still giddy over actually owning this. *grin*

Awesome.

Invite your friends over and make some money..... :)

Makes me wonder what game I would want. There was an X-men one I liked and one with a tank back in the 80's I liked.

Very cool. I have always liked the original Mortal Kombat.

That X-Men game is probably the greatest arcade game of all time. If I was going to get an arcade cabinet for my house, that would be the one.
