My thanks to GM day discounters

Actually, it's really nice to see some of our earlier PDFs selling well again, even if it is only temporary. Tell you what, though - it kinda goes to show it's all in the marketing/advertising. This was an unexpectedly successful day. I think I may have learned a lesson or two. :)

I was a bit disappointed that the GM's Day blurb on the front page only listed the Nat 20 products. I thought the endeavor was worth of a prominant link to a full listing of all participants.

Unfortunately, holidays only come by once a year!

GM's Day Sale

Happy GM's Day to me,
Happy GM's Day to me,
Happy GM's Day dear Damon,
Happy GM's Day to me!

I'm one of those buyers with a serious prejudice against .PDF products. I won't go into my reasoning here, since (a) it's off topic, (b) it may be UNreasonable by now, based as it is largely on the pricing of e-books from one particular (non D&D, non-20) publisher a few years ago.

I picked up 16 products from RPG Now yesterday: two Free items, eleven books discounted for GM Day and -- what the heck, as long as I was there -- three at regular price.

At an averaged price of $3.50, I figured it was hard to go wrong. Will this make me a .PDF convert? Probably not, but look for me again next GM Day. :)

Although I don't have alot of spare cash at the moment, I did take advantage of a few specials yesterday:

1. Possessors - So far, I've loved everything that Philip's put out. This one is no different. Christopher Shy's artwork is absolutely wonderful as well.

2. Beyond Monks - I've heard nothing but great things about this and I have to support my NC homies.

3. Elements of Magic - Been waffling over this one, but the price was too good to pass up and I have to support my ENWorld homies too.

4. DM Dungeon Design Tool - There are simply not enough D&D utilities being produced for the Mac, period. Thankfully, this one exists so I bought it. Please someone put out more programs for the Mac, please.

5. Freebies - Star Ace primer & Portable Hole of Beer.

Not bad for $18. Thanks everybody for the great deals!

Jay

I picked up 8 products all on sale, a bunch I've been thinking about for a while but just not decided to spend the cash at the time. It will just take me forever to download the full color graphics intensive ones this weekend (dial up at home).

I picked up:

--Tournaments, Fairs, and Taverns
--Elements of Magic
--NPC Essentials
--Librum Equitis Compiled
--Everyone Else (revised)

My final bill was less than $25. Sure, I gotta print them, but that's still basically 5 pdfs for the price of one physical book. Of course, since my office has one of those Cannon document centers or whatever they call them, I can print one of those pdfs out in no time.

Thanks You

I'm glad you like it. The next short monster PDF is taking more time than I expected (mainly because I've been extra busy with other things and have been spending time brainstorming what I want to include in Treasures of Freeport PDF).

I was also one that picked up a few more .pdfs I was missing. :-) I was able to talk the wife into letting me pick some stuff up. Picked up

Three Arrows (POD)
Fringe Races
and
Blackwater

Since I finally get paid today (getting paid once a month is a pain, I might add), I hope to snag Arcane Creations too, with their great deal.

Thanks to everyone who purchased our products on GMs day! I believe the day was an unqualified success for nearly everyone. Great idea, Mark. Let's do it again sometime :)

Cheers!
Ian
