My Vrock DND Mini won't stand up

Sorry - I'm getting cheesed off with the D&D mini's and the lack of affordable monsters. The human/dwarf/elf/halfling figs ALL SUX, and there are so damned many of them. I see HO scale ( even smaller - about 17MM ! ) figures sold in blisters ( you can actually see what you are buying - what a concept! ) of 5 separate figs for around $2.50 with WAY, WAY better paint jobs. I now have about 50 demi/human figs I'll probably never use, and the monsters I want are all rares...

In general, I love the Wizards plastic minis, but they do have a few minor design issues. Balance for some of them, first and formost the brass dragon (mine like to fall backwards...A LOT) . The second issue is...why do all of the archers have to be in twisted yoga poses? The arcane archer and one of the other earlier ones are just plain bad. Any mini that has to stand on it's tip toes to make a point is just bad DMing. I also think that the evil SOB that same up with the Harbinger human commoner mini should be put against the wall and offered a final cigarette. Does that mini HAVE to take up a 10ft space? Wouldn't a spear or pitchfork held at attention be a better idea? Call me kookie on that one.

Presumably these things need to fit into some sort of "standard" size mold, which is why so many, including the Vrock, are oddly twisted/crouched/whatever.
As for the commoner - not only would a scythe be far less useful in battle than a pitchfork or axe, but the blade on the mini's scythe is 90 degrees off - in two directions. (It's point-down and edge-right, it should be point-forward and edge-down in the position he's holding it.)

Nah. It's just n the Vrock's nature. It's a demon. Meaning chaotic evil. Not exactly a "stand up" kinda guy.

My Vrock is perfectly balanced, standing up just fine. One of my friends has one that won't stand up at all, however.

My vrock is still in his plastic, so I can only imagine he stands properly.

Does a hair dryer work? I know for Heroclix/Mage Knight, a few seconds under the hair dryer (On Medium) is enough to get them pliable, then a quick dunk in cool water to set them. YMMV depending on the thickness of the plastic though.
