It's a bad recording someone did. It was an open audition outside of Universal Studios here in Los Angeles, and she was chosen to get a public audition with Stan Lee.

Well, since it is a secret lair, the producers wouldn't be able to find it. Of course of Mistwell's house is a mess, it is simply part of her cover: "Now I, The Cobweb can be rid of Hygenia forever! Wait, this cannot be Hygenia's lair, this place is a pigsty! Dustbunny, you fool, you told me this was where she lived!"
