Mystic Theurge

I have a character : Cleric 3 / Wizard 3 / Mystic Theurge 10. He just leveled . Is there another prestige class I can take which combines Wizard casting and cleric casting (ie +1 arcane spellcasting class / +1 divine spellcasting class) ? I seem to recall something written in the Epic Level Handbook about being able to advance Prestige Classes past level 10, but I can't seem to remember the details or where I found it. Could any of you guys give me some pointers?

Thanks

There is the True Necromancer PrC, which works similar, but it's a 14 level PrC and only 10 of those levels have a simultaneous progression. It's also not really meant to be combined with the Mystic Theurge.

The epic Mystic Theurge does not offer simultaneous progression, instead you alternate between the classes.

It seems to me that non-RAW rules variations would belong in this forum more than the House Rules thread. Maybe we should divide into three or more forums: Character Building, RAW, General Rules, and House Rules. Personally, if I am deciding how to handle a certain situation in my game, I would want to hear non-RAW solutions as well as RAW interprerations. Some people have RAW-only questions, which are fine, too. As long as the forums are set up as now, I'd suggest those who start the threads declare if they are interested in RAW only, and that posters respect that request when it is made.

No other class I know give the same power in the same way, you cannot progress beyon 10 level in e PrC unless you are Epic and as it was said previously starting at 11 level you have an alternate progression in The Mystic Theurge class, one level for cleric, one level for wizard.
EPIC LEVEL BASICS

Epic characters—those whose character level is 21st or higher—are handled slightly differently from nonepic characters. While epic characters continue to receive most of the benefits of gaining levels, some benefits are replaced by alternative gains. A class can be advanced beyond 20th level. A ten-level prestige class can progress beyond 10th level, but only if the character level is already 20th or higher. A class with fewer than ten levels cannot progress beyond the maximum for that class, regardless of character level.

EPIC MYSTIC THEURGE
Hit Die: d4
Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 2 + Int modifier
Spells: When an odd-numbered mystic theurge level above 10th is gained she gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable), as if she had gained a level in an arcane spellcasting class she belonged to previously, up to the maximum spells per day and spells known by that class. Her caster level in that class also increases by +1. When an even-numbered mystic theurge level above 10th is gained she gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable), as if she had gained a level in a divine spellcasting class she belonged to previously, up to the maximum spells per day and spells known by that class. Her caster level in that class also increases by +1.
Bonus Feats: The epic mystic theurge gains a bonus feat (selected from the list of epic mystic theurge feats) every 6 levels after 10th.

isnt epic mystic theurge absoultely worthless then? Wouldnt it be better off to just alternatively progress in your original arcane/divine classes, gaining the benefits of those lvl ups?
I mean, whats the difference between

1) 5wiz/5cle/mystic theurge10/epic mystic theurge 10

and

2) 10wiz/10cle/mystictheurge10

???

You could take another spellcasting class, like Psion, and do the Psion/Wiz or Psion/Cleric thing.

NO, it's worse than useless.

The second one has more levels of wizard, and therefore more bonus feats? And more levels of cleric... which probably also gives out a greater bonus than epic MT does.

There is no differences for casting levels and such things, and you have the same hit dice(30), I think and some friends of mine also that the MT is overpowered in giving 2 levels of spellcasting for 1 real level, they're not wrong if you look closely and maybe the epic progression is there to slow this problem (which would have been really overpowered with this progression)

Fewer hit points, lower Base Attack Bonus. There's probably no reason to take epic levels in the Mystic Theurge PrC from a power level point of view. Besides, according to the SRD: "A ten-level prestige class can progress beyond 10th level, but only if the character level is already 20th or higher." You're only 16th level, so you're not able to take epic levels in the Mystic Theurge Prestige Class anyway.
