[NABAIS] Commonly shared gripes about D&D

I love D&D, but the amount of whiners and rules lawyers drives me insane. That's not to mention the anti-D&D crowd that are now spun into a tizzy because there's a new version of D&D out, which is obviously inferior to their favorite and obviously better designed game.

Monsters with class levels. Sure, sure the occasional adept or that exceptional sorcerer 4 kobald chieftan is fine, but umber hulk monks? Phase spider bards? I think the concept of monsters with class level is taken to extremes at times.

Isn´t that why they have that ´progression´-entry
(You know where it says that the monster progresses by increased HD (Umber Hulk) or Class-levels (drow))

Sorry, I know, no discussion, just gripes. I couldn´t help myself:o

Alignment (actions should determine it.... not the other way around)

DMG page 144 ... Actions dictate alignment, not statements of intent by players.

(emphasis mine)

There you go. My biggest gripe about D&D is griping about D&D.

What a touchy feely thread. No arguing? That'll be the death of internet ;)

And no one would like him or do what he says.

Remember, Intimidation is making people do what you want, not just scaring them.

You dont like people that Intimidate you. People that Intimidate don't use "happy feelings" to get what they want. Intimidation is often used as a tactic of information gathering. Use Bluff or Diplomacy for what you are talking about.
