Hmm.

I feel that the "I want to prove Nate wrong" option is too easy, IF you do the following:

1) Assume that the PC knows his target's armor class and hit points.
2) Assume that the PC is a math whiz, has a preprogrammed programmable calculator with him, or has the attack bonus / average damage / expected outcome chart by his side during the game.

But the "I want to prove Nate right" challenge is way cooler, and will likely provide a feat with better usability than the current power attack.

It is alright to use metagame knowledge with this contest. We are assuming the player is power gaming and not necessarily staying in character. This is an exercise in pure mechanics and building the character on paper.

Work with your gaming group to pull your resources together.

Actually, I am the game book guy of my gaming group. All of them have fewer books than I do. I don't think any of them has any wotc book that I don't. But I don't have all the wotc books.

This would be easier if Iron Heroes were allowed. :)

You may as well try, it is free! Encourage others too, I would like to get as many people doing this as possible.

Alright, perhaps I might give it a shot. I don't have a phone (well, technically speaking I do have a mobile, but it only works in Slovakia and I am studying abroad), however, does this not exclude me?

Particle Man, long time no see!

Is our old gaming group still going strong? Are all our friends still in the club, or have most left university now and no longer come?

I am in Austria at the moment and am running a homebrew 3.5 game here.

Some have moved on/graduated. Many of the old crew still get together (I play Iron Heroes, but I think they also get together on other days for other games - I have no idea where they find the time!). Also, I run a game of Castles and Crusades for new people out there, and plan to run a game of Savage Worlds (Solomon Kane) in the summer.
