Name for a role-playing group

I need a name for a role-playing group. I've decided to leave my old one and start a new one. At the gaming store I frequent to, there is an RPG registry where role-playing groups sign in. Most of the groups in there don't accept new members, and the ones that do usually play White Wolf or GURPS games (which there's nothing with that, it's just I don't play those). Due to the new college student abundancy, there are a lot of gamers seeking games, so I'm going to start a new group. And I need a name. Any suggestions?

Well I've onlyhad two groups that had names, the first was Demi-Gods Inc. and the second was Overkill. We even had shirts made with the first name. :D

I'll probably be DMing the group. For my first game, I want to run my Morrigea game. I've posted that here before, but Morrigea is a dark and depressing game that takes place in a world that has no sky. A powerful being only known as Vaiden placed a magical barrier between the earth and the sky, allowing no sun or moonlight to shine upon the ground. Vampires and undead monsters plague the land, and humanoids cling onto survival.

But I'm just looking for a game of the group. Something that will catch the eyes of gamers. Nothing humorous, though. I'm looking for something dark or enigmatic, but not cheesey.

A long time ago, my then DM called our little group the Scorpions because we were all fans of the band with the same name. A bit later when the DM moved away, I renamed our group the Scarlet Scorpions to give it a bit more color. Both groups are no longer...

Well, I was going to suggest "Glass Ceiling". It's enigmatic but also humoroes. How about "Dark Survivors"? Or maybe, "Band of Black"? Or, "Death Alive"? Good Luck.

I congratulate you on naming your group.

When I was a member of th organizing comittee of Ghengis-CON north (Vancouver), we got the opportunity to playtest some stuff for GURPS (through the auspices of Nigel Findley), but our group needed a name.

The first suggestion blew: The Ghengis-CON North Gaming Group.

The second came closer to what we were lookin for: Ghengis-CON's Mongols.

We finally got it right on the third attempt: The Howling Mongol Horde.

Waht I'm saying is just "go with it". Let your players pick a name, hash it over, make it fit.

It's a fantastic tool for building group morale:)

It was one of my favorite aspects of the Knights of the Dinner Table comic...all of the various groups had names:The Black Hand Gaming Society, The Dorm Troopers, Slacker's Hackers, and the Knights themselves:)
