Name My Child

'Xander Ryan sounds good.

As a test, my Mom always recommended screaming it out the back door a few times to see how it sounds.

Either that or 'Dinkledog' :)

Advice from the married man who has children:

Hem and haw a bit. Go back and forth on your name or her name. Then "give in" and let her choice win. Both are good names, incidentally, so it's not a losing situation.

Then call dibs on naming the second child (should it ever come) since she got the first one... :D

And THAT'S when you name the child after either Nyarlathotep, or me(Andrew Thomas).

Either way you're naming the child after something that destroys reality with a glance.

I like alexander xarvier because it will make his initials AXE - which incidently is the exact reason she's biased against it. I say - hey he'll be covered. No matter what he chooses to do in life he's got a name that fits it.

3 choices, IMO:

1) Compromise and combine the names. (But not Xavier - dump that one immediately; no offence to any ENWorld members named Xavier.)

2) Discuss with each other, and agree that whoever names this child does not get to name the second - the other gets to.

3) Personally, I like "Alexander James". :D

And now for something completely different...

You are certain it's a boy, yes?

Ryan Xavier. Xavier is a wonderful name, and there aren't enough Xaviers out in the world to replace it when the current Xaviers pass on.
