Klaus, why don't you whip up some sort of pic for this if you have a few minutes? He commented on his own lack of artistic talent. ...even something rather rough?
I ain't pricey, mate! PayPal is your friend! And the baby's gotta eat! ;)

Back to the name, "Gulo Gulo", the scientific name of the wolverine, means "glutton glutton".

One of the wolverine's name in Portuguese is "glutton", in fact. The other, more applicable, is "carcaju".

So, how's about Carcataur?

"What race is your character?"
"Caractaur."
"Yeah, your character. What race?"
"Caractaur."
"I may have to throw dice at you soon."

This is exactly the kind of exchange I expect to see at my gaming table. I was all over the name Carcataur until you pointed out that all of my players are wise-ass Abbott and Costello linguists.

cormorves (yes, not technically blending a word for wolverine, but only half a step away.)

Frassbau (eatbuild in German. Descriptive, neh?)

Dworverine?

Since "taurus" means "bull" (ref. Minotaur), and the supposed meaning of "centaur" is "to herd cattle" (which makes centaur = cowboy), you might sideline that extension completely.

How's about (and this is a mouthful)

kontosandralycos (in Greek, it literally means "short man-wolf")
