Three points on it. First, it would even out the page slightly if the Abilities black bar moved to even with the combat black bar, IMO. The slightly off looks weird to me.

Second, I'd like some place to put applied conditions on my sheet. Stuff like 5 poison, slowed, etc. Logically that and the HP box would be adjacent, as they often go together.

Third, not to be overly demanding, but if you get bored one day, you might consider making a legal sized landscaped page. It would give a bit more space, while keeping the advantage of landscaped pages.

I will probably be using a character sheet with one page used for displaying the character and one sheet for input. That way the first sheet can be really compact and show all the information needed.

Some observations:
  • Passive feats and class abilities doesn't need to be shown on the first page.
  • Attack powers and non-attack powers can be separated into two sections, as the attack powers need stat vs defence, while non-attack powers only need some text to explain what it does.
  • It isn't really necessary or interesting to see that at-will-power A uses wis and does weapon + wis damage. At least not on the front page. It can simply be listed as +3 vs AC, 1d10+3 damage. That way you can compress the data a lot.

Haha--the landscape sheet was, to me, one of the biggest scoops of GAMA. I was hoping you'd whip something up. :)

I'd love to see a version that included space for at-will powers. Actually, make it three slots. Two for your at-will powers, and one slot for your racial power.

Considering most status effects last only one round unless you keep blowing your save, unless you're using wet erase pens on a plastic sheet, this section is going to be erasered though pretty quickly. I'm guessing most groups will take to using cards or tokens or I even heard of colored rubber bands on the miniatures (that's my favorite so far) to indicate status effects.

Thank you.

I can't resist writing up another character sheet if I'm given something I haven't tried yet. I'm too ocd. :)

  • Fixed a couple of the black header bars. Check to see if it looks alright.
  • I doubt I will have anywhere specifically for conditions or temporary entries. I'll try to add a notes section to convert.

I hope to see what you come up with, Blackbird. I don't intend on making a two sheet style version anytime soon. I like to see the math on the front page in front of me.

I'll see about adding in a small power list. I know a section.

I've gone ahead and uploaded the new version to my website. View the link in the original post to download.

Let me know what you think.

I suggest leaving space to write in a character's powers. Not the full descriptions--that's for power cards. I'm just talking about a place to track the choice you make at each level.

You can figure out how much space you'll need by looking at the chart in this preview:
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/4ex/20080416a

So, I imagine a column of info that looks something like this:

At-will:
At-will:
(blank, for racial or class powers):
(blank, for racial or class powers):
Encounter __ :
Encounter __ :
Encounter __ :
Encounter __ :
Daily __ :
Daily __ :
Daily __ :
Daily __ :
Utility __ :
Utility __ :
Utility __ :

Utility __ :

The little __ spaces are for you to write in the power's level.

Most of these slots will start out blank, but they'll fill up as you gain levels. And it's important to track your choices (and the levels), especially since you can swap 'em out (note that at level 13, you have no 1st level Encounter powers).

I've thought about that, but I worry about Feats -> powers, or gaining extra powers somehow. I need to wait to see what is what until I finalize a design. The landscape sheet is too crunched to add any powers, really. I'd have to take away the equipment slot to do that, which is possible, just suboptimal.
