[Necro] Grimtooth's Traps is HERE!

So, here's a question! My current group has now reached the lofty levels of 17+, and it's damn hard to challenge them! With their buffs, flight, detections, insanely high saves, etc., will I still be able to challenge them with this book?

For example - imagine that the party is all flying, ghostformed, displaced, buffed to high heaven, protections and resistances up the wazoo (from all energy types), arcane sights, arcane eyes and detect traps on pretty much all the time, enough teleports and greater teleports to mean that there are planty available at any given time... the list goes on!

So.... can I scare them with this book? :)

Not really, I'm afraid. Honestly, physical traps (which is alot of what Grimmy is about) are pretty useless when you approach PCs of 16th level and higher. I dont have the answer for you with that book. But I guarantee it will deal with the vast majority of game groups.

Sounds like you need an Epic Level Traps book. :)

The average trap in Grimtooth's Traps might not challenge Morrus' party, but they will definately challenge your 1st through 14th level PCs, which is where most of the play happens.

I picked this up yesterday at my FLGS, I heartily recommend it!
I have some of the original Grimtooth books, and this lives up to the quality of the originals!

Yep, it is still out there, and now they also have a deluxe edition in a tin box like the Fiery Dragon Battlebox for $60. Although I dearly love Nuclear War, that was a little steep for me, so I had to pass on it.

Flipped through Grimtooth's at Origins this weekend, very nicely put together, and a nice variety of CRs.
