Ah yes, this will be mine. Well, I have to say it; between Necromancer Games, Goodman Games, XRP, and Troll Lords, you guys are all doing a heck of a job of keeping me in the doghouse with my wife and emptying my wallet. Should I just go ahead and give you my bank account numbers  ?

DUDE! That so rocks! I was wondering when I'd have to kill erhm buy it. ;)

*still might kill/sacrifice a few for it.* Hey it paid the way for me to get RARE. ;)

All new artifacts. Excellent. Shame I would like to have seen a reworked Heward's Mystical organ but still.

Oh, there are quite a few of the old classic artifacts I'd have loved to include if I could. Alas, none of them are Open Content.

Heck, I couldn't even write up one of the best artifact ideas I had, because it involved beholders, and by the time I thought of it we were too late in the process to take the time and go try to get permission from WotC to use them. :(

Ari, you might have heard of a product from Lion's Den Press, published through Ronin Arts, called The Iconic Bestiary: Classics of Fantasy, that has a monster thematically similar to the beholder, the Evil Eye, and could have been used in its place. I'm sure the book's author wouldn't have minded. ;)

lol

Oh, I definitely thought about it. But the sad truth is, this idea was one of those 1% of cases where the evil eye wouldn't have worked instead of a beholder, because of the physical differences between them. :heh:

Pathetic, no? I come up with a critter meant to fill the beholder's role in-game, and then I turn right around and come up with an idea where the cosmetic differences are enough to torpedo it.
