Need a new race foe

I'm enjoying the idea of Hobgoblins so far...but I've always had a soft spot for Rakshasa too...

What about a titan gone bad as the uber-villain? Tons of magical power, tons of physical power, and bound to have immense resources. Even more fun if it doesn't think it's evil, that everything that it's done is maybe for a greater good...

Sounds like a great opportunity to use the other d20 Monster books!

I agree that the Ratmen ( Slitheren ) would be a great choice. If you don't already have it, and the Campaign can wait a little while, you should get the REVISED CC1 coming out soon. The Warrens of the Ratmen sourcebook would be quite useful too...

For a new twist on Orcs, you can use the Monsternomicon's Ogrun, and Black Ogrun. You also have lots of new "troll" races here, but they have really low INT. The Infernals are neat, but may be too extraplanar for your taste/needs.

Liber Bestarius has several cool potential enemy races too. The Aeon ( LE ) would represent a neat challenge for your group as they absorb spells as a Rod of Absorbtion. You could have the party quest for tools that would be effective aginst these invading monstrosities ( They might be a good chice for the behind the scenes manipulators ). Also, the Dactyl ( NE ) are a very intelligent race of winged reptillian slavers. Many more in this book too...

If you cannot/will not use one of the above books, I agree with the Yuan-Ti selection!

I've been trying to post this off and on for about an hour and a half. The board keeps timing out on me, and doing some other strange things. Let's see if this works....

IMC the main adversaries are shapeshifters. The fun thing about this is that I've got them planted everywhere, and the PCs haven't realized that yet. They've been taking all the NPCs they meet at face value! Mwahahahahahaha!
