Need details on Cyric and Leira [potential spoilers]

Spoiler alert in case you live under a rock..

I'm looking for info on exactly how (where, when, why) Cyric kills Leira during the Time of Troubles (or was it his insanity?) I don't have any of the novels so I'm hard pressed for the details. Everywhere I've looked just says "Cyric kills Leira and steals her portfolio".... I'm playing with the idea that Leira is still 'alive' and 'active' but I want more detailed info on the 'official' deed....

Any help is appreciated.

Cyric killed Leira after the Time of Troubles, when he'd already become a god. It's never stated, but it seems strongly implied that it occurred very soon after the Troubles ended. We do know that her only friend, Mask, lured her to Pandemonium, where Cyric was lying in wait and then slew her and took her portfolio, keeping the deed hidden.
