For the class, Ny, what about "Spadassin" ?

I like that one - reminds me of Scaramouche.

I use the term in my campaign, along the lines in the novel, for the bully/duelists who provoke quarrels with the Empress's political enemies in the Senate, to "remove" them from public life . . .

How about Schläger, it refers to a type of german fencing blade.

Though the style as described doesn't really seem to fit with the style you are looking for.

If I had the rights to do so, that's how I would translate the "Unfettered" of Arcana Evolved. The French usage of the word fits really well with that class's flavor.

Well, there is the Peltast, the opposite number of the Hoplite.

Given that they're all about travelling light, moving quickly and gracefully etc., what about Wardancer, Blade-Dancer or Battledancer? Yeah, I know one of those has been used (in Dragon Magazine). But even so, if it suited, unless you're going to put something to print, it shouldn't matter.

Just another option.
