Alright, here is the situation, at least that I know of:
The queen of Cormire(FR) Is trying to unite the lands arround her, as well as take away power from the tainted Dukes that make up her council. The Shadowtheives have ties with some of these dukes, and they want to insure that their puppets still have power, so they are planning to assasinate the queen. The sadowthieves have also made ties with Thay, who already have a ify relationship with Cormir. Thay also is making some kind of wepon useing these magical gems and the esscense of people who have spellfire.
Here is the problem: The Shadowthieves gave one of our players who wants to become an assasin for them, a mission to assasinate one of the Dukes that is still loyal to the queen. He wants to go, and some other people in the group also think it is a good idea. My guy has spellfire, and thay already knows it, so there is no way I can join the shadowthieves. Another person in the group wants to go with Cormir, but for undisclosed reasons.
Now is the time were we pick sides...so what do we do?
