Need Help on Epic character concept, please [merged]

I had assumed he was going for more of the self-buffing rogue-ish character build. If the OP is expecting his character to do much blasting, then this is very good advice. The majority of monsters you'll be facing at this level (at least those that will get you XP) will have SR, and caster level is critical. Of course, for those that do chose to multiclass, there's always the Practiced Spellcaster feat.
Of course. I agree.

However this is advice from experience. Never had a epic spell thief/shadow dancer in my campaign, so I won't comment on that. I had a rogue in my epic campaign and I would advise against a rogue, unless it was a political/social campaign.

Might I add that the pure Cleric, Druid, and the Wizard were very, very effective. The other character classes were barely effective. High level spells plus epic spells give you so many fun options...

If in doubt, test your character. Fight a Titan. Give it ten levels, fight two...

A Little Help Please

OK so after the advice that ive gotten so far ive decided to abandon the spellthief/shadowdancer. what im looking for now is a character who can basically strike from the shadows- and i mean that in a literal sense i want some kind of shadowplane shifting thing going here- doesnt have to do alot of hp damage i was thinking about spending buttloads of money on some kind of strength or con sapping weapon, and then vanish right back into the shadows before im noticed. what should i shoot for?? race? class? prestige? or just full on one race one class thats it?? preciate everybody being so patient. yep.

Perhaps you missed me saying it in the last thread, but it's a bit rude to open up 4 threads which are simply carbon copies of each other (two of which were already merged by a moderator here, if you noticed). Please refrain from doing this; it's excessive.

No ill feelings here, in any case; is this your first time on a message board of any sort?

cheers,

It seems that I have missed these three earlier threads but I totally agree with Nyaricus.

geez

ok. no its not my first time in a forum thread. i thought it might be a little easier to start a new one since this is about something new. i dont want the other stuff i talked about. im moving on. got any suggestions or just wanna critique on how im posting?? i dont mean to be a pain man seriously im just new to d&d and it kind of seems a bit overwhelming trying to syphon through like 782 prestige classes to see wich one is going to suit me best.

My advice when posting here:

POST in the thread you started. Trust me, it will not piss anyone off.

New threads are for new things, not the same things in a new format.

I know that's a pain but there you are.

Finally as for suggestions:

Maybe instead of trying to go from 1st to epic in one fell swoop, try out a few things. Unless you ARE starting at epic levels.

Then you need my mate Upper Krust. He's much better with that than I.
