Need help remembering name of old movie!

Almost certainly "The Keep" based on a novel by F. Paul Wilson. Directed by Michael Mann of miami vice fame. You can tell because of the MTV soundtrack and editing of some scenes.

Here's one:

A feature-length animated movie they showed at a school "movie day" back in the very early 80's (meaning it was likely made in the sixtied or seventies) about an obnoxious little young genie, whose name I recall being "Ala Kazam". He's misbehavin' and uncontrollable until he's brought back into line by some sort of genie king. I remember a duel taking palce between them, and when Ala Kazam starts losing he flies off until he's left the genie king far behind. He sees some huge pillars and he flies up to them and starts drawing faces on them (the little rascal!) then suddenly the pillars start to move and trap him. Aha! They were never pillars at all, but rather the enormous fingers of the genie, who enlarged himself to fantastic proportions and now has the little brat trapped in his fist. IIRC, Kazam had a few lessons to learn from there.

I really thought the cartoon was named Ala Kazam, but wasn't able to find any info on it.

Trancejeremy- your movie sounds like it could be "Murders in the Rue Morgue" except that you say its set in the UK. Are you sure about that? There are several black and white versions of it- maybe one of them IS set in England. Though that would be strange unless they changed so much they changed the title too.

Murders in the Rue Morgue features an ape, not a wolf/werewolf. At least unless it completely tosses the story out the window.

I was only wondering if it might be based on Murders mainly because of the hair analysis thing which is also a plot point of Murders.

But then again, there are so many b/w werewolf movies who knows what it could be. Similar plot points like strange hair samples and misdirection over the who/what the murderer actually is are bound to occur. Sorry if I got the search off on the wrong tangent.

But this one sounds promising. Check out The Undying Monster.
